Default Everest or Denali 6000/S v2

Wondering which power distributor to go with. Plan to purchase in August to benefit care.org. Leaning towards 6000 with Alpha v2 XC. Comments very much appreciated.

See the Everest/Denali and its wall PC as a system in itself. If you go for Denali+alpha XC then I can’t see you going for an Everest with a Sigma XC which is the recommended starting point for the Everest unless stretching your budget significantly.

Given your system components, I would say that the Denali 6000/S is the perfect match. And the Alpha v2 XC is best cost/performance cable for the Denali. Good choice.

I think what crion2 is saying, is that if you had any thoughts of ascending to Everest level sometime in the future, that you might want to get the Sigma v2 XC power cable for the Denali. This gives you a higher level of performance in the here and now with the Denali. And it ensures that you have ideal power cord for when, and if, you upgrade to the Everest.

I just added a Denali V2 with a Sigma XC to my system. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

Hi Caelin, is it a good idea to place the Denali 6000T directly onto hardwood floor? Thanks!

It would work fine, but it is better if it sits on a platform of some type, similar to how you would treat an amplifier.

It has a built-in aluminum platform and stainless steel feet. But a good shelf/stand from one of the great rack builders works well. Symposium, HRS, Core-Design, IsoAcoustics and many others. Some people are using thick butcher blocks or planks of granite to good effect.
