Believe there is 501 vs 1.2's in the search -- which is you're friend.

Why limit my choices? Life is too short the "settle". Don't you agree? Based on the experience of some members here, they are more "restless" than I am. I enjoy my system for 12+ hours a day. No need to stop now

Thank you so much for making my journey extremely fun and exciting. Your passion is contagious and I immensely enjoy our exchanges. When I go to a restaurant, I don't pick the same old thing from the menu. I experiment and savor every bite. PS. I had the MC601's, miss them very much, but still want the MC1.2KW's. Hopefully I'll scratch that itch along with the MC2301's. Life is good. |

I can't help but think the 501/1.2kw is a similar sound and the 601 is more forward? Perhaps quicker? On another note, I just checked and the nearest Bryston dealer is 4+ hours away. Seriously? This coast of Florida sucks for high end audio.

Mc1.2kw is still the better of the three. Mc501 was not so close to the mc1.2kw, mc601 was a closer step towards mc1.2kw. It is a significant difference when you line them up side by side, however mc601 on its own is fabulous- I do have to say, bi-amp mc601 still doesn't give you the dynamic power and headroom single mc1.2kws give.
IMO, mc1.2kw is still the amp to get. That's the beauty of Mc isn't it? They always stand great on their own! |
