What size room do those of you that have the II's use them in? I'm looking at getting the II, but want to make sure they won't be too small for my space. It's 20ft by 17ft with an 8ft ceiling. I've been learning how important it is to match the speaker size to the room size, but I'm not sure at what size space gets too large for the II's and would necessitate going up to the III's.

My room is approx. 11'X16' with 9' ceiling. My guess is that the II would fill your room fine provided it is driven properly of course. Though your room is large enough that you could likely accommodate the III as well. Any chance of your dealer allowing an audition of the II to potentially save you from spending the extra 3.5K?

I'll see if a home demo can be arranged for the II's and go from there. I appreciate your input. Thanks.

My room is 12X16 and I think they are a good size. As Bavarian05 said the III may be ok in your room though. If you like plenty of bass you may want to opt for the III's.

I wasn't able to do a home demo, but I was able to listen to the IIs in a room a little larger than mine at my dealers. Suffice it to say my concerns about them being too small for my room quickly evaporated and my new pair will be delivered on Monday. The only fly in the ointment being that I'll be at work so I'll have to wait until I get home a few hours later to hear them. The afternoon will undoubtedly be the among the slowest to pass I've ever had, but I'll be enjoying them for a long time to come and am very excited. Will be my biggest audio equipment purchase to date. Thanks for the info on your listening rooms.
