Can be controlled with IPad and IPhone. Basic controls: volume, inputs, main/zone, setup, etc......It's nice to control with an IPhone if the "zone" is used for an outdoor system. Hopefully an integrated SP3/BDP-1 interface is in the works.

Sorry for the dumb question. Can I send music directly from a computer over an USB connection, or do I need a sound card. Does it matter if it's a PC or a MAC? I currently have a PC setup with a Lynx sound card, going over an Ethernet connection to an MSB DAC. How would I set up the SP3?

Thanks,
David

Hi David

You would have to use the SPDIF or aesebu output from the Lynx into the digital input on the SP3. Or the analog output from the MSB to the SP3.

Got it, thanks. I plan to get rid of the MSB, part of the reason for the SP3. is there a UsB input already, or is that what's going to be added? Does a MAC also need a lynx output?

Thanks
David

I've been thinking of changing from a PC to a Mac-based server, with I-tunes and Amarra. Can I run the signal over a USB connection straight to the USB input on the SP3, or do I need a sound card on the computer?

Thanks
David

Yes You can run the USB straight to the USB input and do not need a soundcard. YOu just need to select the Bryston USB as the output in System Preferences - Sound.
