Thanks PHC1 and Greg! I’m already getting a small taste of Harbeth with the 40th Anniversary Olive P3ESRs, but bigger should be better

Totally different experience. That's not to say anything bad about the P3ESR's which are fantastic small room speakers!

With the right amplifier, I.e. one that has enough power and an adequate damping factor, the speakers are perfectly suited for rock or any other genre of music. I've owned every iteration of the Monitor 40's from the original to the 40.2 Anniversary. As designer Alan Shaw states over and over, make sure they have enough power and there is no clipping in the chain.
