Hi Jerome,

thankfully the Australian dollar has strengthened again so i can go back to that now... although unfortunately it's only strengthened because of all the coal and uranium we export... whoops.

Could you expound on that statement?

Might as well post a pic of my electrostatics while I'm at it.

Anyone interested in some LCD-2's, pm me. I want to upgrade to the LCD-3's.

My biggest issue with headphones is that I find it's so easy to lose yourself in the music at SPL's that can cause permanent damage to your hearing.

That's a critical callout. Biggest concern I have as well. Soooo easy to damage hearing thru headphones.

Hi Rmac,

I've found the LCD2 paints a very engaging potrayal of music when it comes to the recording and the gear... it has a balance of virtues that makes listening easy and just a bit mesmerising... from my understanding the LCD3 adds a level of transparency and resolution that makes it more revealing of sources and recordings... more highly tuned and potentially a less forgiving ride so you may feel the bumps a bit more. Just that (as usual in our pursuit) resolution can be a double edged sword and requires an escalating commitment to the whole system.

Mike,

Your headphone list in your signature tells a different story... you've got a bad case of headphonitis goin on there

Graham
