have you received your 089's? Very best regards. |

No, not yet. However in the mean time, I have lost alot of my usual commissions due to the economy here. I might have to sell the 089 as soon as I get it. I don't know what to do. Either sell it brand new in unopened box, or keep it for several months, then sell it. Hopefully, my financial situation picks up after the summer holidays. I should not have paid cash for my 089 and B&W 802 Diamonds at almost the same time. Oh well, things always seem to work out ok in the end (knock on wood).

I don't know about US laws but I am quite sure he is right.
In France, you can cancel web orders only, during 7 days after you bought the product. Did you tell your dealer about your financial problems ? If he's smart enough, he should cancel the order and give your money back. You will be grateful to him: he will keep you as a valuable customer when the times will be better plus you can send to him customers. I do the same in my job. As Ivan would say : the most important thing in business is to keep happy customers. Your dealer would be stupid if he does not this to you. That is just business common sense.

If your dealer does not want to make this favor to you: this is what I would do.
I would call Burmester in Germany to see if the unit has been shipped to the US. If not, I would send to Burmester immediately both a fax and an email explaining the situation. I would explain to them that I know that they don't have to do it, but I am just asking for a favor and their comprehension. Germans know how to do business. They are the first exportating power nation in the world, far above China and the US. You will be surprised by their answer if your unit has not been shipped. It is just a guess though and you loose nothing trying it. Good luck my friend !
