How is the speaker search and decision process? I'm thinking of changing to C4 II's, or similar. (Is there one?)

I heard the KEF Blades the other week. It was a great stage and detail presented. I like them a lot! For an experiment, this next weekend I'm going to borrow some LS50's to hear how they do in my house with my gear. Going away from my giant Apogee Full Range planars will take some adjusting ;-)

Dynaudios are very neutral sounding. How you get them to sound depends on what you throw at them.

They likes lots of power, but can work very well with less if you don't have big expectations for earth-shattering reproduction of large orchestral works. Any amp you use should run stable at 4 ohms.

I have the Contour S3.4s upgraded to the Esotar2 tweeters, but would like to go to a pair of C2 in the future.
Let me start by saying I'm a Dynaudio person and currently own C-1's. If you can go another 5k I would listen to the Vienna "Music" They are by far the best speaker in this price range. This speaker really brings you into the music. Try to listen to these before you make a decision.

Thanks for chime in. I ended up purchased the Vienna the "Music" speakers and totally agree with you on sound however Dynaudio C2 Signature is retail at $16 K and Vienna the "Music" is go for $ 30,000 (Price just increased from $27.500) So its almost $15 G jump up however they are worth every penny

Dafos i totally dissagree...although amatis are great speaker you cant put it in same sentence as temptations(amatis and stradivaris have high end prices but their tweeters arent so good they could be)...also c4 are better speaker than elipsas...not by wide margin but better...sonus fabers just arent speakers that do all kinds of music right...metal and rock will sound thinner(more unnatural) than on any dyns...dyns are not colored so they do a more natural sound in almost all music genres(sonus will do better classic and chamber i guess...thats whats they made for)...also c4 has better drivers than elipsa...italians are more masters of design and allthough their speakers sound sublime most of price you pay is DESIGN and material of box...if you want serious speaker just buy c4 mk2

Traded my C2 Signatures in after Xmas for C4 Signatures. My dealer made me an offer I couldn't refuse. They are beautiful sounding and much fuller sounding than the C2's. They were a little large for my room dimension but the McIntosh MEN220 solved everything and can't believe how wonderful they sound. Very focused, balanced and three dimensional. Saved a ton of dough over the new Platinum's. Read they were sonically identical so I went with these instead and put the savings towards the MEN220.

Congrats on the C4 Signatures. One of the world's best speakers, they compete with speakers costing many times their price.

What are your impressions now after using the Vienna Acoustics “Music” for more than two years? What were the reasons that impressed you to go for the “Music” instead of the Dynaudio C4 Signature?
Will the Dynaudio C4 Platinum or the VA "Music" be an improvement over the Dynaudio Sapphire?
Thanks.
