Question: Has anyone used the Mye Stands? I am considering buying them for the 20.7's?

I have had them for my 3.6's and current 20.1's, and they make a huge difference. I bet they do on the 20.7's as well.

Tell me about the affect on the 20.1's - specifically bass? Is there more? I've seen a few posts where the bass at lower levels was perceived to be thinner?

I wouldn't say thinner, I would say more pronounced and precise.

I've wondered about these off and on for years.

I'd have to lose those new oval feet on the 20.7s..hmmm it's hard to believe they could get much better, but that attitude will get me nowhere as a true audiophile. 'course I would have more money in the bank, but who want's that?

I bought the Mye stands for my 3.6's three years ago. My feeling was that they made a stunning difference. Bass was tighter, a bit deeper and the overall SQ improved as a whole. When I bought the 3.7's they were mounted on them right from day one. Now, with the 20.7's on the way (7.5 weeks and counting) I'll have to sell them and use the funds towards a new pair. My wife was not all that thrilled about this. She also liked the new oval stands.

Will you have a chance for a without - with comparison on the 20.7s?

The 20.7s are just so much more dense/heavy/stiff than my 3.7s were, It's hard to imagine anything other than anchoring the 20.7s to a ton of granite would have any significant effect.
I'm assuming the metal trim on the 20.7s would also change things a bit (vs the wood trim I had on the 3.7s)

the 3.7s were more like those traffic signs mounted on springs that bend in the wind. whereas the 20.7s are like a brick wall.

Yes, the 20.7's are more rigid so I'm skeptical about what difference if any the Mye stands will make.
