I am bummed to hear the update didn't work out. I now consider myself very lucky with my upgrade as my dealer had no more experience than you .....

Richard.......The C2300 is a wonderful tube preamplifier. I sold my C1000C/T preamp in the living room system and replaced it with a C2300 with no regrets.

Does this mean you are returning the C1100 to have the firmware updated by the dealer or returning it for a refund?

Drop some Gold Lion ECC83/B759/12AX7 tubes into that C2300 and.....

Just sending back to get new firmware, c2300 has 2 smooth plate tellefunken ( no idea how to spell that) in the line stage. I have 2 more but have never installed them, because I bought a BAT VK P12SE super Pack phono stage. 1 month ago

I will either use c2300 with an extra pair of MC 501s if have in another room or sell them

Just plain stupid for McIntosh to treat customers like this.

Richard.......Smooth plat Telefunken tubes work very well. I have a pair in my C2300 moving coil phono stage and a pair of Gold Lion gold pin 12AX7's in the line stage. Sounds wonderful.

Hope you get the C1100 back quickly without any additional issues. You certaily have the patience of Job.

Dealer has my c1100, updating firmware as I type this, and if everything goes ok will be shipped back to me today. My hope is to have it by next weekend. [emoji41]
