Owned before:

Jean Marie Reynaud - DUO
Linn - KAN
Rogers - LS5/9 (great speakers; so 'musical')
Quad - ESL63 (not for a long time, a couple of months)
ProAc - RESPONSE 2.5 (also had in a secondary system their mini monitor Response 8)
Wilson Audio - WATT 5 + Gilbraltar dedicated stands (monitor only; no Puppy) during 5 years

Owning now:
Wilson Audio - SOPHIA (first iteration) for 5 1/2 years

To be acquired soon:
Either Wilson again with the SASHA / SOPHIA 3 or changing to Avantgarde DUO

More like my type of speakers. Mostly British with the exception of the Wilson and JM Reynaud.
Do you miss the British glowing midrange when you switched to the Wilson speakers ?
Thanks for sharing.

The only speakers I'll always regret to have sold are the ROGERS LS5/9 (on Foundation stands). They had something "special", like Magic.

I would not live today with any of my other previous speakers. As I wrote in my post, only WILSON or Avantgarde could do bliss to my ears now.

Wilson + Shindo = music nirvana.
Which Shindo amplification do you own Cellindo ?
Always wanted to try Shindo but their use of exotic tubes makes me wary when these tubes goes "kaput".

Actually my SHINDO gear is the preamp i.e. a MONBRISON serie 1 (the one without the visible tubes, but full of NOS components for resistors and capacitors ).

The CORTESE amp has always been very tempting for my SOPHIA, but its 10 watt rating made me hesitating. I'm using Air Tight or CELLO amps for the SOPHIA.

How big is your room for the Sophia II ? 10watts might be good enough for a small room though.

I have been using Dynaudio Contour S 3.4 for a few years now. I really like them and they have served me well. I will be switching to Sophia 3 in a few weeks. I am anticipating a big upgrade. Heard the Sophia 3 yesterday at a demo by Peter McGrath, amazing even in a big room with around 20 other people.
