Default Speakers owned before settling on Wilsons.

I know some people here have other speakers before settling on Wilson speakers.
Some here have used Wilson speakers & have continued to use them till present.
Care to share what speakers you guys owned before settling on the Wilsons & do you see yourself still owning Wilson(s) in the future ?
Thanks again in advance for sharing!

Lots and lots of ProAcs, floor standers and stand mounted. And a pair of Revel Salon Ultima 2s. I'm definitely a fan of the ProAc sound.

I will continue to use ProAc D2s in our bedroom and two pairs of ProAc Tablette Reference 8 Signatures in my office.

Gotta have a little variety. Actually listened to the D2s this morning. They really do have a rich and alive sound. I like them a lot. They don't have the purity, accuracy and smoothness of the Wilsons. But they're very entertaining and they probably help me to appreciate the Wilsons all the more. Variety is the spice of life.

Once I was able to afford to get into serious audio I started with a pair of Wilson Witt Series 1, Pass Aleph 1.2 monos and Sonic Frontiers SFCD-1.
Before it was mainly UK gear as Naim, Linn, Kef and a pair of Maggie's.

Since, there was no holding back. Several Focal JMLab, Von Schweikerts mainly.
Only in the end to settle for JMLab and Wilson. Both are very well designed products from companies with customer support and good service.

I find it important when deciding on the pricey stuff that one knows that the producing company will most likely stick around.

I had a mid-fi (at best, maybe not) internet direct brand called AV123 Rockets. Those were then heavily modded with upgrade parts and a re-design of the cross-overs by Danny Richie of GR Research. So, I guess I had a sort of "one-off" set. They are simply dwarfed by the Wilson Sophia 2's.

I auditioned Revel, Thiel, B & W and Wilson before I bought.

Thanks Josh.. I've tried a bunch of speakers over the years:
bookshelf Sonus Fabers, Dynaudios, Totem, some Proacs, Maggies, Boston Acoustics, KEF's, Polk Audio, Dahlquist, Spendors (most models), LS35a's, Vienna Acoustics, ATC's, Triangle, Focal (entry levels), Von Schweikert2 and others I can't recall to remember. For the past 4 years though, I've kinda settled on the Harbeths.
The Harbeths are big bookshelf speakers. I'm looking forward to trying out the Sophias because these are fullrange & I have yet to experience a hi end full range speakers.

Hope the S3s won't disappoint.

You'll power them with Lamm mono-blocs? I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Looks like most people here end up with Wilson speakers, anyone else here moved out of Wilson after living with the Wilsons ?
If there was any weakness that the Wilsons have, what might that be ?
