Every time I see pics of Daryl or Dave testing new products in that room I think two things:

1. that must be a freaking cool job, I'd love to be a speaker designer!
2. time for new curtains.

Did you end up hearing them? Any listening impressions and/or pictures? Thanks!

Some feedback from sonicflare:WilsonAudio does it yet again, with the release of Sasha DAW. Much more than a simple upgrade to previous Sashas and W/Ps, DAW has elements of WAMM and as I just heard it Audio Element in Pasadena, another killer product has hit the scene. #stunning.

Yes, I did hear them. Initial impression, they sound wonderful. I did not spend a lot of time listening as I can go back anytime and audition them privately with the same electronics I own and familiar music. I did sit in the center seat for a couple of songs and will say that when Bill Peugh played a Natalie Merchant track I was immediately immersed in her vocal even though people were talking in the back ground. Personally, I think they are the best looking speaker in the Wilson lineup. The Alexia 2's were my speaker of choice, but I will definitely listen to these extensively with electronics matching my system before making my final decision. I was able to spend some one on one time with Daryl and that, to me, was the highlight of my evening. There are photos on the Wilson Audio FB page from the evening at LMC Home Entertainment.

That looks like the new dCS Bartok. It looks like a good one-box solution for a DAC/streamer/headphone amp. I just barely missed an opportunity to listen to it a few weeks ago at Goodwin's High End just outside of Boston. The unit was delivered and the guys unboxed it just as I had to head out the door.

I heard the new Sasha last night at Definitive in Seattle. It's definitely more different looking in person than I thought, compared to the Sasha 2. I personally prefer the Sasha 2, but sometimes aesthetics have to "grow on me".

As far as sound, it's definitely a bump up from the Sasha 2, extremely resolving and getting into Alexia territory. I heard it with electronics that were nearly identical to my own, so I felt that was a good baseline for my mental comparison to what i have at home with Alexia's. In my opinion, the Sasha DAW was very very competitive in the mids and highs. The area where the Alexia walks away is in the bass, due to the bigger cabinet and driver area. But the Sasha DAW is definitely a home run from a sound quality standpoint. Looks are gonna be subjective, as always.

Listened to the DAWs for a few minutes today - nice resolution and a real change from their predecessor. Just not over the line yet to drop $25k to replace my Sasha 2s...

With the Wilson Audio Trade In Program, it should cost nowhere near $25k to move to DAW. Should be closer to 60% of that

As an owner of the Sasha 2 , I'd appreciate it if you can share some more thoughts, as to the differences between the 2 speakers, in terms of overall Sonics, and especially Bass performance, as this is the first time they replaced the woofers since the Watt Puppy 7.

Thanks

Ran
