Default New XA 100.5's

I bought these from Jeff (harri009) earlier this year and had a couple of days to audition them. They are a joy to listen to and so much better than the previous amps.

Forgive the iPhone quality pics!

Those are fine amps. I am sure you will get a lot of satisfaction from them.

Very nice, John.

I have a very similar set up in terms of the amps, the speakers and the source, and I'm very happy with it.

Do you think the XA100.5´s have sufficient power for the Magnepans (3-series or 20?)

Based on my experience, yes, the XA100.5s have plenty of power to drive the 20.7s.

I listen to classical music and for some pieces I do like to crank it up loud.

Do they leave class-A at loud volume (meters wiggling?)

Sometimes the meters move, but only when listening at high SPLs and only at forte orchestral climaxes. I cannot tell from the sound when it happens.
