X-overs re-capped 802 matrix III
Hi Gang,
I am getting my crossovers re-capped . I have done several searches and found a fellow by the name of Bob Crites. My speakers are now nearing 20 yrs. My question is should I upgrade the caps from the Bennic caps to Sonicaps ? The cost would be negligible

I would, Sonic Caps are definitely smoother.

How did this turn out? I'm running 802 Series II/III hybrids (originally Series II, upgraded by distributor with Series III woofers, tweeters, and port). I recently added a pair of North Creek external crossovers. The 802s sound fabulous with the North Creeks although I'm getting ready to add a pair of F112 subs - the Series III 802 has slightly smaller woofers and less bass extension than other versions of the 802, past or present.
