Just happened again, same block! Loud pop in the speaker and fuse is blown. I won't try the tube in the other block as I don't want to make more damage

Jerome, I think you are right again. It's my luck to have faulty tubes twice. Looks like I'm having a strike of bad luck with audio lately. I've sent the email to EveAnna to get her opinion and I'll see if I can return the Winged C.

New day, new issue

I changed the fuse and removed the winged C for the Tung Sol. When I turned on the block that had the blow up, there was a lot of static in the speaker. Since it also had the noise in the tweeter I had the previous time with those tube I decided to power it off to switch tube since the other one was working nicely.

After the tube cooled down I switched tube and powered the block. I was installing the tube in the other one when I saw a tube glowing red and blue I didn't had the time to switch off that it blew again.

I'm so distraught right now that I'm shutting off for the evening and I don't want to turn the Manley anymore. I'm scared that something will happen to the speakers. I'll put the Accuphase back in the system tomorrow.

I'm really having a s****y luck lately

Georges.......It might be time to have a service tech take a look at the Manley. You may have a failed part that is aggravating the tube issue.

Sorry to read this Georges.

Seems a typical case of tube failure to me.
I won't be able to come to Neuilly this week but I have the 6CA7 tubes for you. But you can come home anytime. We'll listen to the Harbeths.
Do yourself a favor and order 8 x JJ tubes.

What pity Georges, I'm so sorry for you.

I'm going to email Olivier if he can read this thread and maybe help you with his great knowledge about tubes.

I'm exchanging mails with Manley. As much as I believe that I'm having bad luck at this moment, I'm not sure that I strike 3 full sets of bad tubes. I had this happening with the Psvane (right block), Winged C (left block) and Tung Sol (left block).

I knew that the Tung Sol were not in shape because of the buzz I had but I was far from thinking that this would happen. I'm starting to thing that maybe something is failing inside the block and I prefer to have it checked out before I spend more money on tubes. I almost bought the JJ last night but decided to wait...

I'd love to come and hear the Harbeth if you're not busy. I should finish early on Wednesday if that works for you

Thank you Jean-Marc. I hope he has some insight on what is going on.

I test the voltage with the multimeter and it was between 235V and 237V.

As you know, he told me last week that it probably had to do with the stability of your power because he had the same troubles and found out what was wrong.

BTW, I had him on phone in the morning and he definitely returns to his first and of all times love, that is with his 300B ( you should know he is a voice lover).
