I'm glad somebody else feels this way. I like the Anniversary set (and will never be able to afford them anyways), but I don't care for the gold finishes. Then again, I'm a very monochromatic person.

Enough said.

I am with you, I just feel, they might sell more with out the gold. I have to admit, that is the sticking point with me. to spend that much money on something I really dont like to look at. I love the retro look, but ooooo that dam gold

If I had the extra $$ to get an anniversary model I would wait for them to go to Stainless Steel. I am not so fond of the gold.

The gold amps do not bother me. It's the look of the pre-amp. I guess I am not just a retro guy.

The gold amps are a result of the Asian demand. In fact I understand that the mc2000 and c2200G are a direct result of far eastern demands.

Personally I am not into it. I prefer silver.

How would you guys feel about a matt black stealth version? Pure black with blue meters. That would be cool!

Gold trims remind me too much of Flavor Flav's teeth. I prefer the regular Mac look.
