Sorry, still have no idea what you are talking about. If you remove the hard hat there is the male screw, not any female to screw the adaptor in - see pic below. You can only screw you adaptor into the top like in the 2nd picture. How have you done it at the other end? cheers Last edited by turntable; 05-26-2016 at 04:17 AM. |

When my Stillpoints dealer installed SS under my Sophia 3 speakers, he took the hat off then that screw you see comes out and you put the adapter in that fits the Wilson speakers. That's the way Stillpoints recommeded. The idea is to get the technology packet as close to the component as possible. The packet is right beneath the hat. The other way works too but you are not directly coupled to the technology packet. I'm sure there are many ways to skin this cat and you are likely not leaving much if any performance improvement by doing it the way you rigged up. I'm sure your Wilson's sound awesome no matter what they are sitting on.

I hope the screw under that hat comes out easily. Any potential small level of improvement in this hobby is worth exploring. Will revert. Cheers |

Thank you j3brow for your additional contribution. With my health problems, I was finding it difficult to get my thoughts together to answer turntable.

If only the hat comes off look closely at the exposed threaded connector. On mine it will accept a 1/8" hex key which makes removal quite easy. |

Only one screw came out easy, I had to use the hex key for all the others.
Had to go down one block step to go with the lower height as that was the largest difference in sound. Not much difference in sound after change of height, but perhaps prefer the sound with the hats on and facing down. with each speaker being 425lb's, the Stillpoints seem to work just as effectively up or down. |

I’m planning on fitting my Ultra 5s under the Alexia’s soon. Keen to know since I am putting them on carpet if I should purchase the Stillpoints Spikes And base.
