Thank you for sharing the review. I was interested in buying the Sopra No. 2 (more in line with my budget) but my wife and brother were adamant about choosing the Electras simply because they were not fond of the Sopra shape. It took some time for me to warm up to the unique aesthetics of the Sopra but I thought they looked great. In any case, the more conventional Electras (1038 be II) to be specific now reside in my living room!

It may be too late for You (but actually is never too late - So I've before Electra 1038BE II and very liked its sound, but after a Year of using it I exchanged it by advice of my local dealer for Sopra 2 (blind buy) - and when I heard them first time - I stood with open mouth a long time
Sopra 2 has just amazing sound - much detailed and more "beautiful" than Electra.

Yes Totally agree, The Sopra 2 is a lot better at least to my ear. and Electras soon will be replace by kanta, would love to compare Sopra 2 to Kanta 2, there are pair of 6 months old Sopra2 in sale for half of the original price.
