I lived outside Zuffenhausen for 3 years -- and of course, loved all aspects of the factory -- tour, museum, seeing the cars (at that time roll out of the barn doors -- yes, barn doors --headed to the staging lots), the race cars parked on the curb (yes, 936 Spyders, and a 917 I recall) -- all on Porschestrasse.

I'd love to have one (along with several other items). Take good care of it --I may buy it when you move up. Ha.

I am very impressed with the driving dynamics, although I have certainly not explored the performance envelope due to break-in considerations. The increase in torque versus my C2S is quite impressive even under what amounts to "puttering along" conditions. The resulting responsiveness is wonderful and almost makes driving in Houston fun.

We have plans for a trip to the Texas Hill Country soon for some more suitable driving environs.

Will do, Serge! It will probably be a couple of weeks before I get to do any extensive driving, though, since I am very busy with work this week, and next week we will be going to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to greet our son as he returns from a year's deployment in Iraq. We just bought him a new F150 that we plan on driving to North Carolina to present to him.

Not to change the subject John -- but, had wondered not long ago how long it had been that he was deployed. Excellent news on him & his units return.

He'll be in shock on the F150 presentation. Just awesome of you & know you are very proud of him.
