Default CES 2009 - MERIDIAN + SoolooS

DANG!

I thought I was going to be the first post in here, but howie beat me to it!

Last time I dilly-dally with resizing pics!

Anyhow, the Meridian/SoolooS booth was quite amazing a few months ago, and the pics are an excerpt of the higher end 8000 line; Meridian was also demo'ing the 6000 line in a different suite playing The Dark Knight (or was it Begins... but either way, it was one of the new Batman's).

Next post will have pics.

BTW the SoolooS is F*****G COOL!

Perhaps the name of this forum should be Meridian/SoolooS since they are one!

And since this is "lighter" yet totally "hot" digital-fare, once again I present:

Ive been a happy Sooloos owner since the beginning! Mine's still not half full. I think about 4500 CD's on it, with room for about 11,000. Who wants to lend me their CD collection?

Seriously, I still have about 1800 CD's to load yet. But I really like it.

I was amused that we wrote the review on it a year before TAS and Stereophile but was flattered that TAS's headline was "I have seen the future of music"...

Our headline on the cover was "The future of Music".. Hmmm.

But the Sooloos is killer. Haven't had a stitch of trouble with it and it worked like a charm when we had the DSP7200's in for review. Great system that doesn't take up much space!

Howie, you've got the 808.2, all you need is to plug the Sooloos into the dig input. It works fantastic together!!!

I am jealous, Jeff. It really is a magnificent collection of equipment. So easy and intuitive.

If they would only sell the software, though. I can do the hardware portion so much cheaper!

That's always the problem....

But I've played with all the rest and the only other one I like as much is the Q-Sonic... Same level of friendliness, but just as expensive. Even at industry discount, this was still a spendy piece of gear, but well worth it. I have a zone in my listening room, one in my wife's office, one in my living room and one in the garage, so that makes it a much more useful device.
