If I did DSD, I would own it in a second.

Btw why do you have the output set to 2v and not 6v?

I have not tried 6V level but at 2V, the KX-R is typically set to about 25-30 for normal listening. Which is just a few clicks higher than the Ref Phono2. So short answer is I don't need any more output and I don't want to be concerned about overloading the input to the KX-R

You should try it since I think that you may be surprised. It will give you a whole lot more dynamics since the voltage is not limited. It is not simply louder!

Let me know what you think

Little question: HOW can I connect a power Amp ( Ref 75 ) PLUS a headphone Amp ( Eddie Current Balancing Act, With balanced imput) to this DAC ? ?

Indeed the Ref DAC has only ONE balanced Analog output, and booth AMPs should use their balanced XLR Analog imput for best results.

--> One pair of XLR plugs is missing !? (and I don't feel putting the Headphone amp in between the Ref DAC and the REF 75 is a good solution. I want Ref DAC DIRECT to the REF 75)

Thanks

( ASIDE QUESTION: does the REF 75 sound really better than the VSi 75 ? I somehow prefer the look of the VSi75 but... I don't want to compromise on the sound just for the look ! And If I get a VSi75, can I bypass it's pre-amp in order to use the Pré-Amp & Volume controle of the REF DAC ? )

thanks in advance
