Mike,

Any idea when the oppo ha-1 will be released?

I called to order one yesterday morning and they were already sold out.

Ridiculous.

Really ticked me off.

Got my oppo HA-1 this afternoon. Set up on Monday, when I return to the office. Looks like a great unit. Can't wait to pair it with my new oppo PM-1's. Should me a match made in heaven.

ig you have high impedance headphones like sennheiser hd650 or hd800 and you drive them balanced this have been my reference for years:

Balanced Headphone Amplifier Amp Studio Reference for professional use, HPBA-2 - QES Labs

you can find a review on my webiste.I have been working in the pro audio industry for more than 15 years and this is the real deal.

Now i also own the Bha-1 and it's a fantastic amp.Neutral but detailed fast.
I use for critical listening sessions and gear evalution during my reviews.

If you are willing to add 400 dollars you can buy the new Violectric V281
that runs balanced and has 4 watts per channel on 40 ohm:

http://violectric-usa.com/download/V...reliminary.pdf

i've tried it at the munich high end show with my balanced hd600 and hd800 and my reference files. It's very powerful goes very deep it's neutral and i think it'll be a serious contender in that price range.I think that even the he-6 will be properly driven by this amp.

I ordered a Woo Audio WA6 today--will report back once it arrives. As long as it sounds better than plugging my HD 800s straight into my Oppo, I'll be happy!

I am super pleased with my Sennheiser HDVA 600 headphone amplifier. It is a match made in heaven for the Sennheiser HD800 headphone.

I'm sure it sounds great, but headphones are not my primary listening method, so I didn't want to spend that much money.

You won't be disappointed with the Woo, and you can always tube-roll later, starting with a Sophia Princess.
