Forgot to ask - if the Everest's 8 outlets aren't
enough, is there a substantial drop off attaching a Venom ps8?

You don't want to attach a Venom PS8 to an Everest. A Venom PS8 should be plugged directly into a wall AC receptacle with an appropriate power cord, e.g. a Venom HC V2 or Delta XC, etc.

I seem to recall old posts about using a Venom PS8 to add more plugs to a Triton, so not sure why it would be any different with the Everest. If doing it this way, I'd certainly put the less important / digital components on the PS8 and give the analog gear a plug on the Everest itself.

I’m pretty sure Ivan had a post when he installed a Denali V2 in one of his systems and he used Venom PS8s into the Denali to accommodate all the items in the system

That's pretty sure what I read too, from Caelin himself, so thought to do a quick search and found:

You can do this safely as long as you understand the requirements for the specific components, i.e., DCTD or noise reduction, and don't risk exceeding the 30Amp input current limit of Everest for all components connected to Everest and/or the second power distributor.

So for example, if you connect a Venom PS8 or similar to an Everest, the safest components to connect to the PS8 would be digital domain only or HD video type devices, e.g. Ethernet switches, projectors, network bridges, disc transports, HDTVs, Blu-Ray players. These low-current devices would obtain the benefit of the NR capability of Everest and pose low risk to exceeding current capacity.

I would not think it advisable, however, to connect to high-power monoblocks, a preamp, DAC, phono stage, etc. to an Everest, and then a bunch of high-power amps, as well as all the other components for home theatre system to a Venom PS8 that is also connected to that Everest.

My recommendation for something along the lines of the home-theatre application or digital-streaming I've described above would be to use a Delta D6, which has NR, CCI, and 20A of input current capability, and plug it directly into the wall. If you have more than 6 components, the Hydra Alpha A8 and Sigma A12 PDs are excellent, also, and less expensive than a Denali v2.

Again, safety is paramount, so you should calculate up the potential total current draw of all connected components, especially if you are considering daisy-chaining power distributors.

We need an honest review of the Denali 6000/S v2 to the Everest.
