Any Canadian Shunyata owners here?
I'm curious about where the Canadian dealerships are. In looking at Shunyata's website they don't list Canada in the Where to Buy section. I can't imagine there aren't any dealerships in the entire country. Has anyone come across a list? If not where did you purchase yours from?
Thanks Last edited by jdandy; 08-14-2015 at 08:42 PM. |

Cool, thanks
That's a ways away from me. I probably won't be lucky enough to get a dealer in the Maritimes. There is such a small market in this area. |

Son-Or Filtronique in Montreal carry Shunyata. I've found them quite knowledgable about the line. All of my Shunyata cables were purchased from them.

Hi Rod,
Both Filtronique and Audio Ark are fantastic dealers for our line and have all of our products in stock. Sound Hounds in BC represents our line as well, as does Alternative Audio in Dundas Ontario. The Sound Room in Vancouver recently started with our line as well. I have not found a good match for us yet in Toronto or Calgary but will keep looking. If we can be of any help, don't hesitate to contact us. best regards, Grant Shunyata Research |

Shunyata makes great products and I use them myself but the issue lately is that the $CDN has taken such a beating and all American products have increased over 30% in Canada. This is beyond Shunyata's control and does not reflect on my opinion that they make great products and have outstanding customer service. The result is that I will hold off on these types of purchases till we see a turn around in the Canadian dollar.

Yeah the Canadian dollar is in the toilet at the moment for sure. I'll probably still reach out to the dealers to see what their prices are. I'll then compare that to the US MSRP and see how things shape up.
At the moment I'm really only interested in the three Ztron Sigma power cords. I'm deciding on whether to switch out the stock cords on my Bryston 28B-SST2 mono blocks and my Furman SPR20i. My Furman IT-Reference currently plugs into the 20i via a Kimber PK10 Gold. These cables caught my eye along with Siltech Ruby Hill II's which run more or less the same MSRP in the 2 to 3 meter range. I can get very good prices on the Siltech's. |

I got all my Shunyata cables from Filtronique in Montreal as well as my Triton and 4 Typhon. I only have Shunyata power cord in my system and am quite happy with it. The only other power cord i eard that has similar musicality was the wireworld stuff...

Thanks
I sent an e-mail to Filtronique. I see they also sell Siltech. It's interesting because although my local dealer doesn't sell Shunyata, he's my Siltech and Kimber dealer but years ago he did sell Shunyata and still speaks highly of their cables. When I mentioned the Siltech power cables he said to consider the Shunyata's before making a decision. |
