Default New Shunyata setup photos

Just installed.
Sounds like I need to give it quite a bit of time to run in, but you can surely tell a real change in the sound immediately.
Very easy sense of things. Can turn it up quite a bit more without a sense of irritation of being overbearing. Very cool so far...

I installed my Alpha loom about a month and a half ago and had the same initial reaction as you. I can "see" much further into the music now with more fleshed out images. However, I would advise you to buckle up as the cables will take you on a wild ride during the burn in process. But know that they will settle down to a state more impressive than when fresh out of the box. Enjoy.

That's what I've heard...
I'm still running in my Bricasti setup so just leaving things on and running for a while.
How many hours do you feel is truly necessary before one should assess and critique the sound?

I have more than 400 hours on the cables so far. The sound started to really come into consistent focus around 350 hours. Right around the 250 hour mark the soundstage collapsed a bit and the highs were really accentuated (man did I hate that, those are the things that make me wonder if bought the wrong thing). But now all the special qualities that everyone goes on about are there. Images are absolute in their placement with a realistic amount of air and the soundstage has more of a see-through quality. I also feel the cables revealed an appropriate weight to the presentation that my previous cables (Nordost Vishnu) concealed.

Wow. Really? Who knew that extra 50 hours would make such a difference? Amazing.
