Default Picture of my new to me F110s in my system

Getting them matched with my two channel system using an Electro-Voice DX38. Working on the time delay and I must say sounding great.20170306_130724.jpg

Wow, they look so tiny or are your mains speakers that big.

Default Size matters

You know what they say size matters. My wife says I trying to over compensate for something.

Looks great! Have to ask though. Do those speakers really need subs?

The 18" woofer is great no question but it only goes down so far. If you want to get really low with impact. The sub woofer is the only way. Its like making the 4way a 5way speaker. You narrow the range of the woofer and in turn make it have less distortion and more detail. I also blocked the speaker ports whiched helped the timing and detail. i had a friend over who has a set of JBL 4350s with dual 15" woofers and he is thinking about getting a set of subs. My processor I can put the old program in without the subs running and listen. Then run the new program with the subs and listen. No question what sound better.

Interesting. That all makes good sense. Thanks for the explanation.
