Nice video Steady 330 - but these stock tubes are not what this amp needs to shine!!!!
If you put a quad GEC KT88 Triple Getter Black Plates (NOS) a pair of Telefunken ECC83 Smooth Plates and ECC82 Smooth Plates and a pair of RCA 12BH7 Black Long Plates on that machine, than I would say, it gives the best vintage MAC 275 a run......and it´s not even close.....
The miracle sits in those large Tamura transformers - and the layout is closer to an old vintage MC 275 - Miura San decided to use, as it is in those vintage MAC´s - the 12BH7 as a driver for the KT88 - all modern MAC MC 275 use 12AT7 for that job.

Thank´s for the nice video....

Ekki- So what you said a couple of posts ago, Shindo preamp would NOT be good match with an Air Tight Amp???? Thanks in advance. -Don

Dear fjn04,

a Shindo preamp with - important - 600 Ohms output impedance will work great.
But Ken Shindo has also preamps with a higher output impedance in his portfolio so I cannot answer that in general.
If you look to the specs of your pre and you see something in the region of 600 Ohms (less is no problem) than it is perfect.
The ATM1S with an older Monbrison for example is a dream match - also with an ATM2 - which offers a lot of juice and can drive also more demanding speaker systems, which is different as with the Shindo KT88 amplifiers.
The ATM2 is more comparable with a vintage MC 275 - but in my opinion much more refined and in all parameters in a different range.

So check your output impedance of your suggested preamp and if it fit´s the bill, you will have an amazing match!

Greetings
Ekki
