Went with my wife and 1 year old to this Noah's ark exhibit. A literal Cornwall.

I am very happy to report the Cornwalls are settling in nicely. These speakers are fantastic at low volume late at night. The bass is there for me.

I used a frequency tone generator to go through the frequencies to see what I am getting in my room with the Cornwalls: 30hz to about 15kHz. Very sharp drop off from 13kHz to my ears.

I have added the Synergistic Research XOT Carbon crossover transducer to each set of binding posts. These devices had a very noticeable change in sound for the better.

My project this weekend is to integrate the Fostex T500A mkii horn super tweeter into the system:

Happy to report a big success. In my room, the tweeter rolls off -3db at 13kHz. So with the help of a friend, I applied a 2nd order crossover at 13kHz. Now I get the glitter and sheen to the upper end of the frequency range, about 19kHz to my ears in the room before rolling off. The upper ranges of music that was missing is now there.

I am very happy with the setup.

GhostInTheMachine,
You have a great looking setup. A lot of famous speakers have come and gone since the introduction of the Klipsch Cornwall yet they're still making people happy. I'd say the mighty Cornwall will still be making people smile long after today's must have brands fade out as well. Well done. Enjoy the music.

Thank you for the kind words tweet. I just love the dynamic contrasts in bass I’m hearing. And now the super tweeters are integrated, I’m at a new plateau for good sound.
