[QUOTE=vintage_tube;877474]Don't shoot me for this -- but I'm a big believer in Nordost (and Shunyata; which I was weaned on as a young believer) and wholeheartedly subscribe to their trickle down effect within their cable lines (as like similar trickle downs other manufacturers do).

Using my subscription, the Frey 2's are a trickle down from the original Tyr's and benefit -- maybe not in total composition, but to some degree & are a wonderful cable line under the Norse 2 series.

Nordost cable expense rises quickly as you jump within or outside a series; and I recently used this trickle down with a purchase of Tyr 2 interconnects as I had to pull in the expenditure reins. I'm hoping to be just within the original Valhalla benefits with the purchase.

Best of luck and let us know how it pans out.

Bob, you are to loved to shoot ❤️❤️❤️

I’ve owned the Heimdall and Frey2 speakers cables. They can be a tad bright depending on your gear (such as B&W speakers).

I tried the Frey 2 and Tyr 2 with my latest rig Accuphase- Totem Element Metal and they did nor pair well. The Audience AU24-SX brought out more detail without being bright.

The Nordost did however do great when I auditioned tube gear with my speakers. I don’t think you can go wrong with Nordost.

I very much enjoy the combination of Accuphase with Nordost cables: I had a combination of Heimdall 2 and Frey 2 with my E600 and Devore O/96; they Nordost really helped to tighten the bass, add more depth and provide a rich but smooth sound.

I liked the Nordost so much I now moved to Valhalla 2 which provides an even richer and more textured and detailed sound - very far from my expectations of Nordost from the past.
