Sorry. That should have read "audio FIRES" not first. What I was trying to say is that change in itself is good in this hobby.

Ah! Yes. Figuring out the ideal rate of change would be helpful...I am moving a bit too fast for my wallet.

But in this hobby, I like how there are no absolutes. I think it's interesting to consider that no two systems sound alike, no two speakers sound alike, yet many different people with varying tastes can appreciate (even love) all these different sounds. Essentially infinite possibilities. Unfortunately none of us have infinite wallets

Congrats ! You will love them. I would take the Sasha over the 802D any day of the week (in fact I already prefered the Sophia vs 802D, but that is another story).

Pls remember thant they would need at least 500h to properly break in. You may try playing 24/7 ocean waves (great at night), which should shorten the break in period to ~20 days.

As to break in, to begin with, they sound GREAT right out of the box. My dealer and Debby Wilson talk about 50 hours or so for break-in. And, you may not notice much difference at all over that period. Playing the speakers is so enjoyable it's just fun. This is not like c-j and the teflon caps. Just enjoy.

Not sure if you've checked this out, but there are some great tips regarding set-up that might let you start preparing for their arrival...

http://www.wilsonaudio.com/pdf/manual_sash1.pdf

This is what they say about break-in:

Break-in Period
All audio equipment will sound best after its components have been broken in for some period of use. Wilson Audio breaks in all woofers and mid-range drivers for approximately 12 hours. All drivers are then tested, calibrated, and matched for their acoustical properties. In your listening room, expect 25 to 50 percent of break-in to be complete after two hours of playing music at normal listening levels. Ninety percent of break-in is complete after 24 hours of playing. Playing a CD on repeat overnight can accomplish this task quickly. Wilson Audio recommends chamber music for this task.

Thanks, interesting that they specify so little time for break in. I'm not worried about it, I'll be enjoying it from the first minute it's turned on, and for thousands of hours!

I wish my room was more traditionally shaped...not sure how WASP will work in my odd room. http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...cs-system.html

2fastdriving, congrats! While there is no perfect speaker, Sasha's will come close in many respects. I believe your 452 will be an excellent match for the Sasha's. I would recommend the 4 ohm tap.
