I know what you mean. I have to take anything fragile off the shelves and bolt the artwork to the wall for some recordings!

Man, every time I see those Infinity IRS's I go absolutely gongers (a new word). What are the MC ML-2C's and 1C's? That secondary system you have is so interesting. I wish that I could have something similar in my home.

Charles, the "secondary system" was my first Mac system, along with the MR78 and MPI4 which I moved into my main system. I got it while I was in college. I got the ML-2C speakers first, then a number of years later got the two pair of ML-1C speakers so I could stack them like the IRS, which I got long after my first system. My lawn mowing and snowblowing business while in junior high and high school made my first system possible!!

The Thorens with the Rabco arm (straight line tangent tracking) also came with the first system. I got the Revox cd player several years later while I was in my residency. The cd had not been invented when I got the first system. The ex-wife stole my LPs (don't get me started on the legal system), so now I keep the turntable for old times sake. The SAE 2800 parametric equalizer was a tweaker item for some recordings. The Tascam cd player is actually only a few years old, and I use for parties when I just want to set five cds at a time and let them play. You'd be surprised how good that $300 player sounds when connected to the main system.

I went to the Internet to find some pics of the ML 2-C's. Man, those pics bring back so many memories. You are a fortunate man to own those Mac speakers. They are history.

Also, I should qualify something. I simply don't believe my wife could hear the bass at the mailbox. She doesn't like the bass and can exaggerate. My system cut loose does shake the kitchen end of the house and she doesn't like it.

Charles, I couldn't hear the bass outside at my mailbox either. It's on the other side of the house and 100 feet away at the road. Women, sheesh!

I rattle the place when I'm home alone. Same problem.

Ah... home alone audio. Don't we all enjoy it? Maybe this is the new unspoken trend.
