Personally I think if a dealer makes the effort and is keen to sell a particular brand online then let them have at it. Look at the amount of happy buyers that Ivan has and the incredible work he has done to create online customers. I am all for consumer choice and buying from the dealer we choose.

The Primaluna business, which Upscale is directly involved in, was seen as a direct competitor to Cary. There was a conflict of interest. Dennis did not retire. He is currently selling his own handmade designs on "that auction site." Meanwhile, Cary is now outsourcing some of their production to China, and using pc boards instead of point-to-point wiring in many of their tube amps.

How did they force him out? I thought he was the owner of Cary.

Just my two cents...

The more I read about American companies out sourcing to China the more I want to support the American companies that make stuff here. Sure the price is higher but It's worth it!

Probably the same way that D'Agastino was forced out of Krell, the company he founded & built. Small companies need capital to develop and sell new products. Not unusual for them to have to give up control for the capital. Once they do, and the new majority owners, who know little about the marque and its history and could actually care less, decide they don't want to maintain the marque (they care only for money) they then force out the original owner/founder and do things like turn to China for their production. Classe in Canada is another shining example of now made in China, though am unsure if the original owner(s) are involved.

I say boycott the companies that take the production to China. There are plenty of Canadian, American and European companies that continue to build in house products. Support these companies.
