Default Music recomendation please...

My two best favourites musicians are Patricia Barber and Christian Scott. I find there is so much soul and quality in their music that I can just sit there and listen and feel the emotions.
Would you guys please make recomendation of similiar bands from similiar music genres to explore?

I highly second the Holly Cole recommendation, one of my favorite artists. Her music is a little more on the traditional jazz side than Patricia Barber. She's explored a little more of a standard pop sound with Dark Dear Heart as well. I've always been drawn in by her voice, different than a lot of the standard female jazz vocalists that are popular now. Give her a shot. Cassandra Wilson is awesome as well, gives you the feel that you're in a dark smokey jazz lounge....tons of soul. Can't go wrong with either!

Tomek, what do your ears sound like sorry mate, couldn't help myself. If you want some good music go to the "What are you listening to" thread. That should keep you busy for half - whole of a year.
