Since I use my 105 Oppo player exclusively as a disc transport to feed a separate DAC I wonder if there is any advantage in making the upgrade to the latest version. I'm thinking not...

I doubt it. If you're sending the data bitstream to the DAC I can't see what the difference would be by upgrading.

I plan to route my directv 4k box through the Oppo and use that to process the video signal because I don't have the 4k board on my SP3.

According to fedex, mine will be at my office by the end of business. I plan on playing with it tonight.

Sent my 203 back to Oppo this morning. I didn't realize that it doesn't stream anything and I really would miss streaming Netflix, Pandora and Tidal like my 105D does. The new 203 may be great for 4k but for me they have taken away everything else that I care about.

That's why I bought a Roku too.

My Roku doesn't sound as or look as good as my 105. Roku doesn't do Tidal either.
