I will be forever grateful to you for turning me onto Shindo.

Alberto.

I am glad that I was able to help you find your audio bliss.

If I had a dedicated room, like you, I would never consider parting with my beloved Shindo gear.

Having the gear set up in the "main room" of an open floor plan 70's California house and having a rambunctious 9 year old means you want SS and a very robust solid, non delicate TT. I have that now and am very happy.

Audio bliss comes in many forms.

I get to play the music much more often now, and my 9 y/o gets to play record also.

Stephen, you're also one of the reasons I started my Shindo journey. I don't know if I should thank or hate you

A journey down the Shindo road will always be very rewarding.

It is truly the one audio journey that I will never regret.

It taught to me that it is the music that matters.

A $5k Shindo beginner set up was a far greater musical experience than $25k worth of other audio gear.

You have to be ready to experience something totally different. Not for the faint of heart.

Stephen,

Your story with the kid reminds me something.
When we arrived in Montreal with my wife, we met a lady who has had 2 kids, now adults. The house was filled with little sculptures, fine arts, ceramics, exposed open and all reachable by kids.
We told her : " your house was not like that when you had kids right ? ". She said : " it was excatly the same. You just have to be very strong and forbid them. Have authority and they won't touch".
First, I was impressed and admirative.
But when we got our first kid, we read a lot of books about education and children's psychology and all the authors were saying the same thing : children means "mess". If you enter a home, and cannot guess that small children leave there, then there is high chance that those kids will be raised in some trouble and will be adults patients of psychiatrists !
You did the right thing buddy. And you have a very generous mind.
Everyone in your home should be able to play music.
