Default 1028be - how far from the wall?

My speakers are currently about a foot away from the rear wall, simply because I didn’t want to go messing around with room layout previously.

I’m now wondering what owners of the speakers are doing for rear wall distance. I’d love to get some feedback before I go tearing my system apart to only find out that moving them further from the wall isn’t going to make much of a difference.

Thanks in advance for the feedback on your experiences.

let those puppies breath !

I cringe every time I see speakers up against or close to walls, that combined with 'crap' in between your speakers does nothing good for a soundstage.

3-6' IMO .........

Focal has a placement guide in the manual for the speakers. I would recommend following it. Room behind the speakers will be especially important with the 1028 Be because they have a rear port in addition to the bottom port.
