Maybe I need to look into the MB100 and better understand what it is and how it works.... I am not very keen on streaming music (at least at this time) but would rather stick with my collection..... but the MS750 is getting a little old in the tooth and clearly I (and I sense others) have a love/hate relationship with it.

Hey, Fritzcurtis - How is your MS 750 SSD conversion working four years later? Any glitches or major issues? (Someone posted that if an SSD drive can become degraded if the main board or processor thinks the drive is an HDD.)

I did get rid of it for an MB100. I upgraded the MB with i5 processor. Samsung SSD 16 ram and an enterprise grade 12tb hard drive. Should serve me well for years to come.

anyone get the StarTech.com converter to work? I tried a few and it doesn't work with either the MS300 or the MS750.

You say you got rid of the MS 750. Did the SSD you put in it not work out? There seems to be some question relating to t he fact that it might work for a while, but then.........not so much..

Not sure. I got rid of it fairly quickly after I put the ssd in the unit. Got the mb100 and have not looked back.

Maybe you can help Nellie (See above his Star Tech question). I believe I read that there is at least one converter that does work and I think someone posted they had seen not just an SSD (you) but also an Enterprise drive installed and that would have needed a converter also, right?

Also are your happy with your MB100? Might be right for me if it can easily find and stream I-radio stations like Radio Swiss Jazz.

Fritzcurtis
Thanks for the information. When you download a CD does the album name and track title appear or that not possible without Gracenote?

Default Software install

When one has the MS Complete 2.0.7.1 Software install CD, should install be done selecting "Golden" or "Complete" and what the heck is the difference anyway? And where does one enter MS1 (button), then 5555 at the registration screen. After Golden install, I don't see where you do that, all the system gives as choices after registration fails (which it must since no server anymore!) is "do later"
