From Franco's descriptions and some of the technical data, I find this design very compelling. The way in which Franco is dealing with integration (between the drivers themselves and speaker to room) appears very cool. Like the 2pi baffle of the Strad it appears that Franco's goal is even, yet effortless pressurization. I suspect that the reviewer who said it was more suited for small rooms might be very surprised to hear it properly set up (and driven) in a very large one.

I would love to hear this speaker. However, with only 30 being made and no US distribution so far (that I know of), I wonder when that chance might come.

Bill I have heard it in a very large room and it had no problems pressurising it

Exactly what I would expect. As I said, I would think Ktema to be a very compelling loudspeaker - especially in many of the areas that matter to me.

I wonder why they're limiting the production to just 30...?

Perhaps a clue might come from Franco's website. I thought I read that Franco desires to pursue research for as long as it takes without the pressures of a production schedule. If that is true, it makes perfect sense.
