Default Major new Roon OS update: 1.7 with Valence

Major new Roon OS update: 1.7 with Valence was announced today.

Too many new features to recount here one by one, so here is the press release:
https://community.roonlabs.com/t/roon-1-7-is-live/84126

Just a note: with potentially 44 million new credits to update the metadata with, it will take a while to update your Roon Core and libraries.

I'll post some key new screenshots below...

One of the new features is the "New Releases for You" feature:

It was a big surprise for me last night when I powered up my system.
Makes my lifetime subscription all the more worth it.
The Live Radio directory is great (1000+ radio stations), being able to import lyrics from file tags (as I've found many that are not in the Roon database), icons for zones, "recommended for you" and more things I've yet to discover.

I really like being able to create radio stations out of anything...an album, an artist, etc. (I think you can, anyway). A big reason for me to even do the streaming thing is to discover new artists. The "recommended for you" and suggested for me and roon radio are all great tools in the toolbox!

Exactly - all about discovery for me.
I've found so many great artists/albums I never would have herd/found without Roon. I've been an early sub (a month after it was released). I just checked my "History" and I'm just under 81,000 songs played via Roon - over 4 1/2 years. So, Roon's database has a good idea of what I like.

Wow! I need to catch up. I'm only at 33,000 over 2 1/2 years. But that's not a real number since I use sleep music on repeat.

I hope this update includes the ability to capture more albums from favorite artists from Qobuz and Tidal. I have had to add some albums to my favorites before Roon found them. Aside from that, I have found Roon to be an incredible platform with amazing stability, at least for my suspect internet connection that causes an occasional dropout.

+1 for Roon Radio enlightening me on previously undiscovered artists. And it keeps getting better!
