MY First Mac system Mc28 & MC2505. The C28 just came in from being upgraded by Terry.
I now have it connected to my Mc275, I'm sitting here listening to Donald Fagen's The Nightfly and can't help but ask myself. Should this be sounding this GOOD after all Its Vintage?

My first was a pair of tired MC30's, which I sold for the market value of 25 years ago, $100 each. Soon they were replaced by a mint MX110 and MC250, I still have them !!

MC250. Get refreshed by Dewick. Still can't believe how great they sound....esp on horn systems.

I'm awaiting for the anniversary edition

I started a few years ago with an MC2100 that I came across locally. Before that I had been primarily into tubes.

Since then I've purchased a C30 and an MC2505 (I had to have the meters . . . . ). The C30 and MC2505 have both been updated by Terry and are now my daily drivers and favorite system. I also picked up a Stereotech 1200 receiver which is a member of the McIntosh family as well.

Now I'm looking to upgrade to something newer with a remote . . . . maybe a 6900 or 6600 integrated. Or possibly a setup similar to Alberto's using a 220/252 combination.

-Matt

My first McIntosh piece was the MC250. It is still doing duty in the home theater.

I tried to start at the top and never trade up. With the help of several members of this group I settled in on two 501's, a 2200 pre-amp, and MS 300 and MCD 201 as my source. Since the beginning I have added an MDA 1000, took the pre amp out of the stack, put it in the exercise room with the MCD 201 and a MC250 amp.

I also bought my son a used 4100 so you can say he started vintage

PS: Happy to be here!

Welcome BigPoppa.

I still don't know what your name alludes to, but it's by far my favorite handle .
