Default Original remote control for the C220?

Is there such a thing? Does the C220 come with a remote or do you have to buy one?

My C220 was a trade in bought used from a premier dealer. The remote included with it seems very awkward and large and has buttons that I don't need, which leads me to think it was not the original. It is a HR044 McIntosh remote.

Is this the original remote? if not can I get a newer one that will still work but looks and feels better in the hand? Do learning universals tend to play well with McIntosh?

Picking nits I know, but it's the only thing that has ever even slightly concerned me about my wonderful Mc gear, it's a huge and pretty ugly piece IMO...

Do you have a picture? I have a feeling that the form factor is the "standard" remote (the one I got with my C220, MCD201 and MDA1000). I find it just right, too big to lose and I love the ergonomic shape and backlit buttons.

I really like it, but you are not the first to complain.
