This'll definitely make the server market very interesting. Thanks for posting Howie!

I agree. For 3k or about Olive territory you can plug it directly into your MCD500 or MDA1000 and get the best GUI in town on your ipad for free.

Seems a no brainer to me!

Howie
Thanks for the post. This looks pretty cool. I just wish Meridian would consider using DAC's that handle files above 24/96.

Bob stuart has maintained all along that he does not think it is important so I wouldn't hold my breath!

Stuart has done some great things, but he is stubborn. I would really like to try Meridian products but the 808.3 has no SACD capabilities and what are we supposed to do with the 24/176 and 24/192 files we have?

Jim...I hear you but I can't imagine you have that many 24/176 and 24/192 files. The selection out there is very limited thus far and what selection there is tends to be audiophile music of dubious interest to most people. Over time, as more music becomes available in 24/176 and 24/192 formats, I agree with your sentiment. The question is how long will that take for these very hi-rez files to become widely available?

I'm with you Jim. I have been waiting for Meridian to go to the higher Hirez files as well. I have a few hundred tracks in the 24/176 and 24/192 range. I guess I could always transcode them down.

This new product has me about to jump onto the Sooloos bandwagon.

One point of note. The MC200 has no drive to rip cds. You need to connect a PC
