Default Speaker placement

Toe-in aimed at a point 3-feet behind listener's head (more toe-in for close or reflective side walls / less toe-in for less reflective or greater distance to side walls). These are just starting points as there are many other things that can influence the sound (carpet, furniture, etc.). Invite a friend over for dinner and have them move the speakers while you listen.
I was in the unusual and perhaps enviable spot of having mine delivered by Aerial directly (live in the Boston area), the dealer picked up at Aerial in the am to bring to my home, but the wrong finish was loaded in his SUV; Aerial delivered the correct finish one hour later. Not too shabby.

Anyway - got the same advice as above. Our set-up forces them a little further apart, and so a little less toe in. Imaging is in my opinion exceptional, but fairly sensitive to my left/right position. I think this is a result of the slightly wider spacing than optimal. About 10' apart, listening is 10 feet back, speakers 32 inches from front wall (front face to wall).
