Default McIntosh site not iPad friendly.

All I can view is the Home page. it would be so cool to get a high-Rez McIntosh meters wallpaper, from McIntosh.

Apple and flash don't mix.

However, If you go directly to a product page, such as:

McIntosh | C2300

or from a google search, you will then be able to navigate somewhat.

The bad news is that there is no reason for the McIntosh Labs site to be have any flash on it.

Why would you blame McIntosh's site when there are probably 1,000,000's of pages that use flash.

The issue is Macintosh's inadequacy. I still don't understand why anyone would buy an ipad when it's not compatible with flash pages and can't multitask.

Maybe because it's a great product and it just works. Multitasking is being added in June, though I don't see any dire need for it. As for Flash, I'm yet to find a site that I cannot do without that runs on Flash. If a site uses Flash I just move on. Flash once was a good product that served a purpose. Today it's a legacy product that has been reduced to delivery ads and creating crappy navigation systems for web sites.

Additionally I am not faulting McIntosh Labs for buying a Flash website. They basically got bamboozled by a web design firm into going with Flash even though it is on the way out. The new site is less functional than the original.

By the way the name of the company is Apple. They currently do not have any products that use Macintosh in their name.

I have an iPad and it has become my go-to choice for browsing the web when I'm not working at my desktop computer, all but replacing my laptop. I read or check in at 50-60 sites a day, all of which work flawlessly.

Flash is a dying technology, and speaking as a web designer and developer, its demise is long overdue. The issues with Flash are too numerous to list, and started well before Apple came out with the iPad or iPhone or even the iPod. If the rise of the iPad means the fall of Flash, it will ultimately be a good thing... for phones, tablets, and desktops/laptops alike.

The effort required to rework the navigation in the McIntosh website to HTML/Javascript is trivial. There's nothing they're doing that can't just as easily be accomplished without Flash.
