Question

I wonder if this will be a regular finish to order?

No, it is a custom finish. You can pay extra and get the 800 in lots of finishes. Usually though is lacquered colours.

Well, unless the post on Facebook is incredibly misleading it looks like something is up with the 600 line. I really would like to see them introduce a tower with three bass woofers like the 702 S2 for the 600 series.

Cheers,

Scott

As a general overview to beginners/laymen, how do you describe their 600, 700 and 800 series?

It seems there are some leaks on met. Official launch is on the Thursday. Link below from the launch video.

It is very positive that B&w has decide to improve even more this line which was launched before 2 years.

I really beleive the 603 is one of the gems in the B&W hifi series. Along with 702 they offer tremendous value for the performance.

Unlikely they would do that right now, but it can't be too far away, and you would have to think within a year or so they will unveil the D4 or whatever it is that replaces the 800D3 series.

For what it's worth this month marks the 5 year anniversary of the D3 launch.

I find this news is exciting. I was looking for another set of B&W’s to replace some small Paradigms. Just have an AV receiver and looking at the 603’s. Glad I waited, but would like to hear reviews and the sound comparison before purchasing. Knowing B&W, I’m sure they are more refined.

Just found this quick review, hope I can copy URL’s.
