The K16 handles every bit as good as the K12, but is so much more comfortable and easier to use. Looks like the Honda and the BMW are about the same, price-wise.
I have a couple times during their 'event days." It's a BIG bike when loaded up & sort of intimidating. Once on the road though it's very nice & smoothe (and fast!!). Had a R1100S when I was thinking I was in my twenties -- but wasn't fond of the seating/handlebar positions; but, it could corner & probably was the best I've ever driven in that regard. Blue Ridge Parkway was my 35MPH speed limit playground (yeah, right). As I continue to age, I need to realize some types of riding days are over. I quit 1/4 mile M/C drag strip life --so café type over fast twisties may have to be next or think of them as straight roads with some turns.

Need to see the 'wing in person first.

Best Sirs,

Bob

nicoff.......Thank you. The HD Screamin' Eagle Deuce is a whole different machine than the new Honda Goldwing. Both motorcycles are thrilling in their own well designed ways.

Umm, an airbag on a motorcycle? I did not even conceive this as a possibility.

That's pretty cool & pray it helps to reduce injuries -- but probably a statement more than anything else. In almost all "unpinned" M/C accidents, afterwards, the M/C driver is no where close to the cycle. Wonder where the impact sensor(s) is/are?

Wonder myself how it will reflect in insurance rates. Maybe slight to nil. Dunno.

I'm older and not a 18 year old -- & my annual full coverage premium has never been over $300 (presently $249.70).

Best Sirs,

Bob

Signed up with local Honda dealership to be notified when a floor model is present & also signed up for when Honda offers demo ride days.

Dealer expects -- and is vague - but believe they will see their first few units late December/early January. I, on the other hand believe it will be closer to very early spring (late Feb/early March).

Anyways, I'm in the cue.

Best Sirs,

Bob

Looking forward to your impressions once you get a chance to swing a leg over it.

Wonder if that could pull our 24' Airstream?
Nice looking ride. My last full dresser was a 1982 Honda CBX. About 200# lighter than the Goldwing, but likely no faster.
