Do you have to go all the transparent up to the interconnects ?
Start with the speaker cables. Add the rest as budget allows. Don't be surprised to be totally satisfied even with their lower priced cables.

For that combo, I think the Musicwave Super would be great. Prices here. http://www.transparentcable.com/prod...es_04-2009.pdf

Serge, yes, i was looking at that as well. $1550 for 8 feet pair.
How are the transparent cable different from other speaker cables when using with Wilson speakers ?
I'm sure you had experience with Wilson & other speaker cables.
Thanks!!

Yes, take a look in the cable sections for some comparisons in my previous posts.

Lots of body and flesh on the bones with transparent. Tonally rich sounding cable, dense images, proper weight and smooth across the range. I like the rich, dense and muscular presentation vs cables that often lean out certain ranges and come across as making your system more resolving but in reality less musically satisfying. Bass seems to be more natural with transparent and Wilson speakers really strut their stuff down low with transparent in a very natural sounding way. Especially with Lamm.

Default Super

The Super level would be the perfect place to jump onto the Transparent train. My first set of transparent speaker cables were the level below, Music Wave Plus MM. I have since upgraded to Super MM and now Ultra MM2. Both upgrades were significant, I remember being shocked how much better the Super was c/w Plus. I believe Ultra is the sweet spot - performance to dollars - and if you can swing it, might as well start there and save some bucks because you may end up trading up in time given their 70% allowance. Also, it's all about synergy right? Get interconnects and speaker cables and sit back enjoy the show.

Try transparent "The Wave" speaker cables for $200. I laughed when I bought them as an experiment, was shocked when I heard them with Sasha and Lamm in my system and was not surprised when they got cable of the year award from "TAS". Yep, they are that good.

I've also had $35k worth of transparent on a home trial so I think I had a good frame of reference.

Rockport speakers also use transparent for internal hook up by the way.
Never wrong if its coming from Serge!~

$35k worth ..... you must be "THE Man" to your dealer! I can never pull that thru without him asking .... $50% DEPOSIT please!

Just one of these days I will ... I may ..... Sas_ _

Cheers!

I'm using some Kimber 8TC on my Duettes. Maybe someday I'll try Transparent but it's sounding ooooh so nice right now.

Spades to the Duettes and Locking Banana's to the 402

Those are good reasons to definitely consider adding the Transparent Speaker cable to my list wishes when the Sophias will get here.
I'll probably try to see if I can get some used Musicwave Ultras.

Thanks again Serge.

I love the WBTs. Keep them! Though my crystal ball sees them on a pair of KS3033s sometime in the future.
