Question Speaker cables for Wilson Audio

Hi guys,

I might as well post a separate thread on this topic.
Over the years, I have observed that a number of stores and hi end shows uses Transparent & MIT cables for their beloved Wilson Speakers.
However, I also have noticed that in recent years, a number of Trade Shows have used various speaker cables other than transparent & MITs.
I have seen kubala sosna, & others i can't recall.
Nonetheless, since this is a dedicated Wilson forum, would you guys mind sharing the cables you use with your Wilsons.
I will have a pair of Sophias hopefully in a few months time & would like to do research ahead of its arrival.

Care to chime in ?

Does it also matter what amplifier one is using in determining the speaker cable choice ?

thanks & more power to this group.

Noli

Noli ... How long a speaker cable run are you contemplating? How long will the interconnects be?

6-8 feet speaker cables, no desire to change interconnect for the time being.

I would love to hear Serge's (PHC1) opinion on this one.

I loved Wilson with transparent. Great synergy. No wonder Wilson uses transparent for internal speaker wiring.

Try transparent "The Wave" speaker cables for $200. I laughed when I bought them as an experiment, was shocked when I heard them with Sasha and Lamm in my system and was not surprised when they got cable of the year award from "TAS". Yep, they are that good.

I've also had $28K worth of transparent on a home trial so I think I had a good frame of reference.

Rockport speakers also use transparent for internal hook up by the way.

Thanks Serge! Will look into it.
Do you have to go all the transparent up to the interconnects ?
