'cisco.......Once you decided to start shopping new speakers, what other brands did you compare the GM's to beside Wilson Duette's?

The crossover being the color of the speaker is my preference, otherwise: Should the speakers then be black to blend in with the stands? Or should the stands be the same color as the speaker?

I believe, though am not certain, that the blue is a protective film which is peeled off by the end user. All the crossover boxes I have encountered with the Duettes match the speakers themselves.

On Wilson's website, al the crossovers are the same color as the speakers themselves as well.

If you look closely, you will find and answer to your question:

Clearly, rossover boxes ARE color matched.

They are matched. They only look different because of the "frisk" or flim that is put over the paint on the crossovers to protect them. The frisk they use on the crossovers are blue Once you take that off everything matches

You are so very welcome! Was a pleasure to work with you! I do have to say that I am impressed that you did keep it quiet for so long. Of course I was not going to spill the beans

I love all the pictures you posted of them! Are you going to share a few of the photos that were sent to ya?

Can't wait to here your review of them!!

My very best to you. I am so happy to see you have them finally! Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you. Happy listening from me and everyone at Wilson Audio!

Dan....that blue is a plastic film for protection, it peels off. Here is a better pic of my "Novel" (the name of the crossover) in it's position. There is an indentation into the aluminum base for it to sit in. I'm working with my dealer to see if I can get a silver base rather than the black one pictured.

That's a good one Kevin.....

Dan....after a few years of hiatus away from audio I decided to get back into this hobby about 3 years ago. When I started looking for equipment....not much here on this Island at the time.....I heard some Dynaudio's, B&W's, and then the PMC GB1 i's. Pulled the trigger on the PMC's and then I heard the Duettes. The D's were way out of my price range at the time but I made incremental steps towards them. I would love to hear more brands but a road trip back to the Bay Area would have been necessary. These Duettes will have to be my final speakers (which is not a bad thing at all )...... unless my living arrangements of a larger place changes. Do I hear Sophia 3's?
